SCALEBAN system is a combination of equipment, specialty chemicals & filtration system which has the unique strength of handling wastewater in a cooling tower at very high TDS (25%-30%) and very high COC (20)

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Scaleban equipment is a pipe shaped equipment will be installed just at the inlet of every heat exchanger in the cooling water line which prevents scaling in the heat exchangers at very high hardness available in the cooling tower circulation water.

Scaleban Specialty chemicals (Biocides) are suitably designed to control biofouling in the cooling tower circuit with the use of wastewater having COD & BOD.

Scaleban speciality chemicals (Corrosion inhibitors) are suitably designed to control corrosion on the different metallurgy in the cooling tower circuit, at very high TDS, chlorides, sulphates in the cooling tower circulation water.

Scaleban pre-filtration system and side stream filtration (SSF) system having glass media in the cooling tower effectively remove suspended solids from both the makeup and circulating water.

Galvanic Principle

Scaleban equipment uses the Galvanic principle to give its metal core a negative charge, which attracts hydrogen ions (H⁺) in the water. This changes the water’s pH and turns dissolved hardness into tiny, non-sticky particles. These particles stay suspended and pass through heat exchangers without causing scale buildup, keeping the cooling system clean and efficient.
